Innocent Vareed Thekkethala, popularly known as Innocent, is a veteran Indian film actor and politician who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. He was born on April 28, 1945, in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur district, Kerala, India. Innocent has acted in over 600 films and has won numerous awards for his contributions to the film industry.

Early Life and Career:

Innocent was born into a Syrian Christian family in Irinjalakuda. After completing his primary education, he moved to Mumbai to work as a mechanic in a textile mill. In Mumbai, he became interested in acting and started performing in local plays. He later returned to Kerala and joined a drama troupe called "Cochin Kalabhavan."

Innocent made his acting debut in the 1970 film "Nellu," directed by Ramu Kariat. However, he gained recognition only in the 1980s, with his performances in films like "Chamaram," "Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu," and "Nadodikkattu."
