Nitin Gadkari is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was born on May 27, 1957, in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Gadkari is a former Minister of Road Transport and Highways and the Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the current Indian government. Early Life and Education:

Nitin Gadkari was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra to a Marathi family. He completed his education from Nagpur's Mahatma Gandhi Junior College of Nagpur and later went on to study law at the Government Law College, Nagpur. After completing his education, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist organization, and started his political career.

Political Career:

Gadkari started his political career as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP. He was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Council in 1989, and then to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 1994. He served as the Minister of Public Works in the Maharashtra government from 1995 to 1999.

In 2004, Gadkari was elected as the President of the BJP in Maharashtra, and in 2009, he was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, from Nagpur. He was re-elected in 2014 and served as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways in the Indian government from 2014 to 2019.
